  1. My hard drive in my Aspire 5740 died and after a clean install of Win 7 ultimate my wired Ethernet connection no longer works as there seems to be no driver for the adaptor. Windows looks for but is not able to find a solution online.

With its release in 2010 the Acer Aspire 5741 has only one operating system option being the Windows 7 OS from Microsoft. The specs of the computer was not half bad and there was a Linux option however not many took Acer up on the option. Acer also released an Aspire 5741G version on the laptop. Note that there are two laptop versions and they run either on Windows 32bit or 64 bit. The drivers listed below are for both versions of the software all in one bundled download.

The laptop I am not sure as to how many units they sold however it was not that popular as it was an all black design as many preferred the two tone versions which Acer released. Maybe one day they will return to the two tone laptops and notebooks.
